The Mists of the Mynd

The dwarves once strode alongside the men and women of the West Midlands. Now, they are dead. Their works stand empty. The few that remain hide in their bolt-holes and shun their kin.

Still, the foolhardy know where to find the vacated cities of the dwarves:

“Talk to the Mynd-men, probe for directions. Act pious, speak well of your mark. Follow the roads into the mountains, tread their trails up the old switch-back steps - that’s how you’ll know you’re headed right - and you will no doubt find an old ruined watch-tower or half-collapsed mine. Just beware all the ghosts, the traps, the curses, and - of course - whatever foul beast malingers now in their echoing empty chambers. May the Cynn watch over ye...”
