The Depths of Delirium: Underwrekin

The Wrekin: a tall but round hill, pleasant to climb. The whole West Midlands can be seen from the top.

The top bears a stone circle, likely druidic in nature. A scree slope flows down the east face. Leading halfway up the south face, a switch-back road of leaf-shaped cobbles: absolutely emblematic of dwarvish construction and philosophy.

It’s common tall-tale that hundreds of years prior, the dwarves dug a huge mine under the hill. Back in this folkloric past, the dwarves and Beormans were on much better terms and named the mine in the tall-man’s tradition: Underwrekin.
